Message from Chief Mentor |
 Wg Cdr M.K. Swaminath
Warm greetings.
As
the IT industry keeps growing rapidly, the challenge before
entrepreneurs and professionals alike is to sustain the momentum for a
long time to come. But, at the same time, professionals who are the
engine of the industry need to strike a work-life balance in the larger
interest of growth. Without
doubt, professionals gain enormously by associating not only with their
peers, but also with others outside their immediate area of work.
Simply put, networking brings joys to the professionals.
In
this situation, the Information Technology Professionals’ Forum-India
(ITPF-India) helps to meet the requirements of the professional. I
invite you to join us for the sake of a better life in various areas.
Optimism
about India’s prospects in the IT business is based on the sheer range
of work now encompassed by the IT & BPO industries and, second, on
its potential for further expansion. The business that started it all -
off shore software development - still has plenty of room to grow.
The
world becomes more and more dependent on IT by the day. Even as new
applications are churned out, old ones need maintaining. In addition,
the range of business processes that can be outsourced is constantly
expanding - processing insurance claims; desktop publishing; the remote
management and maintenance of IT networks; compiling audits; completing
tax returns; transcribing medical records; financial research and
analysis. The list of possible activities is almost endless. “We have
barely scratched the surface,’ says Stefan Spohr of A.T. Kearney, an
international consultancy.
ITPF-India as a part of its initiative to bridge the gap between the IT Industry and the Academia has facilitated fresher hiring for leading IT companies like Citrix Systems, Ness Technologies, Perot Systems, IBM, Oracle, IGate solutions, L&T Infotech, HCL since 2007. ITPF-India shall continue to do so as and when there is a need and requirement.
